EKSPERIMEN KREATIF DESAIN MOTIF HIAS GEOMETRIS PADA PAPAN BERPAKU (GEOBOARD)

AbstrakPendidikan sangat memegang peranan penting dalam tatanan kehidupan manusia. Setiap individu dituntut untuk mampu berkarya dan menciptakan karya yang dapat diperoleh melalui pembelajaran Seni Budaya dan Keterampilan melalui jenjang pendidikan. Dalam kurikulum 2013 pada mata pelajaran Seni Budaya menekankan pada kreativitas, dimana pembelajaran berbasis intelegensia tidak akan memberikan hasil signifikan dibandingkan yang berbasis kreativitas. Realitas penyelenggaran pendidikan di negeri ini belum menunjukkan upaya pengembangan kreativitas peserta didik. Fenomena tersebut berdampak pada penyelenggaraan pembelajaran, terutama Seni Budaya di SMP atau MTs, sehingga anak tidak memperoleh pengalaman kreatif yang bermakna. Penelitian ini mengkaji eksperimen kreatif dalam membuat desain motif hias geometris menggunakan papan berpaku (geoboard). Penelitian ini menggunakan motede deskriptif kualitatif dengan subjek siswa kelas VII MTs Nurul Ilmi Kabupaten Langkat. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan ialah tes, dokumentasi dan observasi. Analisis data yang digunakan ialah analisis data kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada pengetahuan teori mengenai motif hias geometris siswa mendapat nilai yang baik yakni rata-rata nilai 83,33. Sementara itu pada nilai praktek atau penerapan hasil eksperimen kreatif desain motif hias geometris mendapat nilai yang baik dengan rata-rata 84,08. Manfaat penelitian bagi guru dapat dijadikan refleksi dan sekaligus masukan dalam perencanaan dan pelaksaan pembelajaran dan bagi peserta didik dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu alternatif media belajar kreatif. Each individual is required to be able to work and create works that can be obtained through learning Cultural Arts and Skills through education levels. In the 2013 curriculum on the subject of Arts and Culture emphasizes creativity, where intelligence-based learning will not provide significant results compared to creativity-based. The reality of organizing education in this country has not shown efforts to develop students' creativity. This phenomenon has an impact on the implementation of learning, especially the Cultural Arts in junior high schools or MTs, so that children do not get meaningful creative experiences. This study examines creative experiments in making geometric ornamental motif designs using nail boards (geoboard). This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with the subjects of Grade VII students of MTs Nurul Ilmi, Langkat Regency. Data collection techniques used are tests, documentation and observation. Analysis of the data used is qualitative data analysis. The results showed that the theoretical knowledge of geometric ornamental motifs students got a good value that is an average value of 83,33. Meanwhile, the value of the practice or application of the results of creative experimental design of geometric ornamental motifs got a pretty good value with an average of 84,08. The benefits of research for teachers can be used as a reflection and at the same time input in the planning and implementation of learning and for students can be used as an alternative media for creative learning.
