Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan apakah Patung Dewa Murugan yang ada di Desa Padang Cermin Kecamatan Selesai Kabupaten Langkat tersebut telah sesuai dengan bentuk dan gaya menurut kitab Silapasastra. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah satu buah Patung Dewa Murugan Di Desa Padang Cermin Kecamatan Selesai Kabupaten Langkat yang diteliti dengan menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Pada penelitian menunjukan: Bahwa bentuk dan gaya Patung Dewa Murugan di Desa Padang Cermin Kecamatan Selesai Kabupaten Langkat ternyata tidak sesuai dengan ketetapan dalam Kitab Silpasastra. Saran bagi pematung agar membuat patung yang sesuai dengan aturan-aturan yang telah ditetapkan dalam Kitab Silpasastra.                Kata Kunci: patung, bentuk, gaya, kitab silpasastra.
