HUBUNGAN KEMAMPUAN MENGGAMBAR RAGAM HIAS DENGAN KEMAMPUAN MEMBATIK SISWA SMA SWASTA SANTA LUSIA

Learning the art and culture of batik material at the Santa Lucia Sei Rotan Private High School has not led to the development of the ability to draw ornaments. This is because the teachers who teach fine arts do not come from the fine arts department, so teachers do not understand how to teach decorative learning using batik skills. This research aims to find out how much the ability to draw decorations is related to the ability to make batik in class X students at Santa Lusia Sei Rotan Private High School. The method used in this study is the correlational method. The sampling technique was carried out by using random sampling technique, so that the research sample was X-MIA class with 36 students. The research instrument uses practice tests and data collection techniques are carried out by observation. Data analysis used is quantitative data. Data processing obtained the average pre-test score was 74.78, in the poor score category, while the posttest average score was 82.81 in the good score category. The results obtained show that the pre-test and posttest data are normally distributed and homogeneous. Hypothesis testing obtained tcount = 5.6862 and t(table) = 1.9966,, because tcount (5.6862) > t(table)(1.9966), then the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted . Furthermore, the correlation test obtained rcount = 0.7371 and rtable = 0.329, because rcount (0.7371)> rtable (0.329), and provided input or contribution of 54%. The results of the hypothesis test and correlation test show that there is a relationship between the ability to draw decorations and the ability to make batik.Keywords: relationship, drawing ornaments, batik. AbstrakPembelajaran seni budaya materi batik di SMA Swasta Santa Lusia Sei Rotan belum mengarah pada pengembangan kemampuan menggambar ragam hias. Hal ini dikarenakan guru yang mengajar seni rupa tidak berasal dari jurusan seni rupa, sehingga guru kurang memahami bagaimana cara mengajarkan pembelajaran ragam hias dengan kemampuan membatik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar hubungan kemampuan menggambar ragam hias dengan kemampuan membatik siswa kelas X SMA Swasta Santa Lusia Sei Rotan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode korelasional. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik random sampling, sehingga diperoleh sampel penelitian adalah kelas X-MIA sebanyak 36 siswa. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan test praktik dan teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah data kuantitatif. Pengolahan data diperoleh nilai rata-rata pre-test adalah 74,78 dengan kategori nilai kurang, sedangkan nilai rata-rata posttest adalah 82,81 dengan kategori nilai baik. Hasil yang dipeoleh menunjukkan bahwa data pre-test dan posttest berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Uji hipotesis diperoleh = 5,6862 dan = 1,9966, karena (5,6862) > (1,9966), maka hipotesis nihil ( ) ditolak dan hipotesis alternatif ( ) diterima. Selanjutnya uji korelasi diperoleh = 0,7371 dan = 0,329, maka (0,329), dan memberikan masukan atau kontribusi sebesar 54%. Hasil uji hipotesis dan uji korelasi menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan kemampuan menggambar ragam hias dengan kemampuan membatik.Kata Kunci: hubungan, menggambar ragam hias, membatik.
