PENGENALAN LUKIS KACA SEBAGAI MEDIA HIAS DAN CENDERA MATA PADA SISWA-SISWI SMA N 1 KOTA JANTHO

Everyone who likes beauty is beauty that is naturally created or that is created from human work. However, not everyone knows how to create beauty from the objects around them. How to turn a simple object into something that is more attractive, more beautiful and even has a sale value. The activity of introducing Glass Painting as a decorative medium and souvenirs will certainly hone the creativity of SMA N 1 Jantho City students. The introduction of glass painting trains students to be creative in processing the natural resources around them. From objects made of glass that are not used, they are given a touch of art and polished in such a way that they become works and art products that can later become souvenirs. It does not stop with the introduction and manufacture of glas painting, students are given directions and an understanding of how to make these works of art can have economic value. The products produced in this activity are expected to be marketed as a typical souvenir of the City of Jantho.Keywords: painting, glass, decorative media, souvenirs. AbstrakSetiap orang menyukai keindahan baik itu keindahan yang tercipta secara alami maupun yang diciptakan dari hasil karya manusia. Namun tidak setiap orang tahu bagaimana cara menciptakan keindahan dari benda-benda yang ada disekitarnya. Bagaiman cara menyulap sebuah benda sederhana menjadi sesuatu yang lebih menarik, lebih indah bahkan memiliki nilai jual. Kegiatan pengenalan Lukis Kaca sebagai media hias dan cendera mata tentu akan dapat mengasah kreatifitas siswa-siswi SMA N 1 Kota Jantho. Pengenalan seni lukis kaca melatih siswa-siswi untuk dapat kreatif mengolah sumber daya alam yang ada disekitar mereka. Dari benda-benda berbahan kaca yang sudah tidak terpakai diberi sentuhan seni dan dipoles sedemikian rupa sehingga menjadi sebuah karya dan produk seni yang nantinya dapat menjadi cendera mata. Tidak berhenti sampai pengenalan dan pembuatan lukis kaca, siswa siswi diberikan arahan dan pemahaman bagaimana caranya menjadikan karya seni tersebut dapat memiliki nilai ekonomis. Produk yang dihasilkan pada kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat dipasarkan sebagai cendera mata khas Kota Jantho Kata Kunci: lukis, kaca, media, cendera mata.
