Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Author Guidelines

WRITING GUIDELINE OF JOURNAL OF COMMUNITY RESEARCH AND SERVICE

I. GENERAL

  1. The manuscript should be written in English and have never been published in any journal having ISSN or ISBN.
  2. The manuscript may take the form of case studies or literary studies. All received cases should have a concern on difficult, unique, and rare cases with uncommon problem solving bearing essential importance to publish.
  3. The manuscripts must be written in the form of articles, not reports and presented according to the principles of good English grammar.
  4. The author should register as an author in this link; https://jurnal.unimed.ac.id/2012/index.php/jcrs before they can log in to the journal of community research and service, to submit and upload the manuscript.
  5. The manuscript will be published in journal of community research and service after being reviewed by peer reviewers.
  6. The editorial staffs have the right to edit the manuscript without making any changing to its content.
  7. The author of the manuscript is liable for the content of the published manuscript.
  8. Journal of community research and service will inform the author in case of an unpublished manuscript.
  9. Submitted manuscript and illustration legally belong to the publisher and should not be published in other media without official permission of the publisher.
  10. Support the authors of the journal is expected by using the reference of the journal of community research and service that has been published.
  11. All forms of communication should be electronically based.

WRITING SYSTEMATIC
1. Title
  • Title, Author’s name, institution and corresponding e-mail.
  • The title must not be more than 20 words, describe the entire contents of the writing, letters typed in Times New Roman bold type 14 (the abstract title of English must also be no more than 20 words).
2. Abstract
  • Abstract should be written in English.
  • Abstracts are made in one paragraph without subtitles which consist of background, goals, methods, results and conclusions and keywords (3-5 phrases). Written in Times New Roman letters in italic type 10 with a maximum of 200 words.
3. Content
  • Sub title consist of: Introduction (consisting of background, literature review, problem formulation and objectives written in one chapter without subtitles), Method, Discussion, Conclusions and References.
  • Manuscripts must be presented in text format (see writing instructions).
  • The manuscript is typed in Times New Roman 10 from A4 paper size single space (210 x 297 mm) with the format of the left margin 25 mm, right margin 20 mm, bottom margin 20 mm, and upper margin 25 mm.
  • The Manuscript consists of 4000 - 6000 words.
  • Images must be in JPEG format and have a minimum resolution of 300 dpi (dots per inch), the table must be included in the text content and not as an attachment.
  • Images and tables must be numbered with Arabic numerals, and table titles and brief information about tables written in Times New Roman 10 are thick and single-spaced.

4. References

All references referred to in the text of the article must be registered in the References section. The bibliography must contain reference libraries originating from primary sources (scientific journals and amounting to a minimum of 80% of the total bibliography) published in the last 10 (ten) years. Each article contains at least 10 (ten) references. APA 6th writing format. Writing a referral system in an article text and writing a bibliography should use a reference management application program, for example: Mendeley, EndNote, or Zotero, or others.
