Adapun pendekatan yang digunakan yaitu strata norma. Karya sastra tidak hanya terdiri dari satu sistem norma, melainkan dari beberapa strata (lapis) norma, diantaranya lapis bunyi, lapis arti, lapis objek, lapis dunia lapis metafisis.

Abstract
