Abstract

Penciptaankarya sastra tidaklepasdariparadigmamodernisme. Namun, modernismedianggapusang dan tidakmampumemenuhikebutuhanmanusialagisehinggaharusdigantikan oleh paradigmabaru. Protesterhadapmodernismemelahirkanparadigmabaru yang disebut postmodern. Penelitianinibertujuanuntukmendeskripsikanaspekeklektisismedalam novel HujanBulanJunikaryaSapardi Djoko Damonodalamparadigma postmodern berdasarkanteori Lyotard. Penelitianinimenggunakanpendekatandeskriptifkualitatif. Data yang dianalisisdalampenelitianiniberupasatuancerita yang berkaitandenganaspekeklektisismeberupapengaburanbatasantarnegara, pencampuranbudayaasingdenganbudayalokal, pengadopsianperilaku, dan penggunaanbarang-barang yang berasaldari negara asing
