Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran think talk write terhadap kemampuan menulis puisi oleh siswa kelas VIII SMP Swasta Tunas Karya Batang Kuis. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Swasta Tunas Karya Batang Kuis yang berjumlah 55 siswa tersebar di 2 kelas. Untuk menentukan sampel, peneliti menggunakan teknik random kelas dan terpilih kelas VIII-2 yang berjumlah 34 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VIII-1 yang berjumlah 21 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan instrument penelitian berupa tes essai yaitu menulis puisi. Berdasakan analisis data diperoleh kemampuan menulis puisi kelompok eksperimen mendapatkan mean 79,56, dan kelompok kontrol mendapatkan mean 76,78. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat diketahui bahwa hipotesis terbukti, melalui uji t diperoleh thitung > ttabel atau 2,24 > 1,99. Hal ini berarti terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan penggunaan model think talk write terhadap kemampuan menulis puisi oleh siswa kelas VIII SMP Swasta Tunas Karya Batang Kuis.Kata Kunci.
