ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya efek penggunaan model problem based learning menggunakan PhET terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada materi pokok gerak harmonik sederhana. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan desain kelompok pretest-postest. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMAN 2 Percut Sei Tuan T.P 2018/2019 yang terdiri dari 5 kelas dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 160 orang. Pemilihan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik cluster random sampling untuk menentukan kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes berupa instrumen kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu uji t. Hasil analisis data penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran problem based learning menggunakan PhET berpengaruh positif dan mampu meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa daripada siswa yang menggunakan metode konvensional. Hal ini ditunjukkan dari hasil yang diperoleh nilai rata-rata pretes kelas eksperimen 16,23 dan rata-rata pretes kelas kontrol 15,92. Untuk nilai rata-rata postes kelas eksperimen 71,83 dan rata-rata postes kelas kontrol 67,27. ABSTRACTThis research purposed to see the effects to problem based learning using PhET the ability to problem solving in the basic ingredients of simple harminic motion. This type of research is quasi-experimental with the design of pretest-posttest groups. The population in the study was all students of class X of State high school 2 Percut Sei Tuan in the even semester T.P. 2018/2019 which consists of 5 classes with a total of 160 students. Sampling with cluster random sampling technique to determine experimental class and control. The data collection technique used is a test in the form of a problem solving ability instrument. Data analysis techniques used are the t test. The results of the analysis of the research data show that the learning model of problem based learning using PhET is positive effect and was able to improve student problem solving that student who used conventional methods. The test results obtained by the average value of the experimental class pretest 16,23 and the average value of the pretest control class 15,92. For the posttest value of the experimental class 71,83 and the average posttest control class 67,27.References
