Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sifat kepemimpinan kepala sekolah  di Sekolah Dasar Swasta Pengharapan-Patumbak, Deliserdang. Peubah kepemimpinan didasarkan kepada teori sifat kepemimpinan yakni intelegensi, kemampuan dan kepribadian. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan angket yang terdiri atas 18 pertanyaan, dimana untuk inteligensia 5 pernyataan (item), kemampuan enam pernyataan dan untuk kepribadian 7 pernyataan. Angket dibagikan kepada 16 guru yang mengajar di sekolah tersebut dan berperan sebagai sampel penelitian. Data yang diperoleh ditabulasi dan selanjutnya dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan teori sifat kepemimpinan, kepala sekolah SD Swasta Pengharapan Deliserdang termasuk memiliki sifat kepemimpinan yang sangat baik (95,65%). Sifat intelegensinya sangat baik (100%), kemampuannya juga sangat baik (97,91%), sedangkan kepribadiannya masuk kategori baik (89,06%).
