IMPLEMENTASI MANAJEMEN BERBASIS SEKOLAH (MBS) DALAM MENINGKATKAN KOMPETENSI PROFESIONAL GURU DI SMA NEGERI 2 LUBUK PAKAM

Abstract: implementation of school-based management (MBS) in improving the professional competence of teachers at SMA Negeri 2 Lubuk Pakam. The background of the problem from this research is that there are still many teachers who are not professional in their duties, such as teachers who are late to teach, do not have complete learning tools, teachers do not have learning media as a tool to explain learning material. This study aims to determine professional competence. teachers through the implementation of School-Based Management (SBM) at SMA Negeri 2 Lubuk Pakam. The approach used in this research is qualitative with descriptive research type. The subjects of this study were the principals and teachers of SMA Negeri 2 Lubuk Pakam totaling 46 people selected using purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. The research data is processed by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the principal conducts discussions in policy making that will be implemented by the school, the principal evaluates by examining learning tools, teacher attendance, student achievement and teacher activity in training activities (training), seminars, workshops, and technical guidance for add insight to teachers in improving their professional competence through the implementation of School-Based Management (SBM). The principal supervises learning administration, classroom administration, evaluates the results of supervision, and follows up on the results of supervision. The achievement of students' graduation every year reaches 100% passing. This proves that students have an improvement in learning outcomes and thus an increase in the professional competence of teachers through the implementation of School Based Management (SBM). Adapun latar belakang masalah dari penelitian ini adalah masih banyak guru yang kurang profesional dalam tugasnya, seperti adanya guru yang terlambat masuk mengajar, tidak mempunyai perangkat pembelajaran yang lengkap, guru tidak memiliki media pembelajaran sebagai alat menjelaskan materi pembelajaran.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kompetensi profesional guru melalui implementasi Manajemen Berbasis Sekolah (MBS) di SMA Negeri 2 Lubuk Pakam. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah dan guru SMA Negeri 2 Lubuk Pakam berjumlah 46 orang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik purpossive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Data hasil penelitian diolah dengan mereduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa kepala sekolah melakukan diskusi dalam pengambilan kebijakan yang akan diterapkan oleh sekolah, kepala sekolah melakukan evaluasi dengan memeriksa perangkat pembelajaran, kehadiran guru, prestasi belajar siswa dan keaktifan guru dalam kegiatan pelatihan (diklat), seminar, workshop, dan bimtek untuk menambah wawasan guru dalam meningkatkan kompetensi profesionalnya melalui pelaksanaan Manajemen Berbasis Sekolah (MBS). Kepala sekolah melakukan supervisi administrasi pembelajaran, administrasi kelas, mengevaluasi hasil supervisi, dan menindaklanjuti hasil supervisi. Prestasi kelulusan siswa setiap tahunnya mencapai 100% lulus.Ini membuktikan bahwa siswa memiliki peningkatan pada hasil belajar dan dengan demikian terlihat peningkatan kompetensi profesional guru melalui implementasi Manajemen Berbasis Sekolah (MBS).
