PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROJECT BASED LEARNING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR IPA DAN KETERAMPILAN PROSES SAINS PESERTA DIDIK KELAS VIII SMP NEGERI 5 TEBING TINGGI TAHUN 2019

Abstract: This study aims to: 1) determine whether there is an increase in science learning outcomes and science process skills of Class VIII SMP students using the PjBL learning model 2) to determine the magnitude of the increase in science learning outcomes for Class VIII SMP students with the PjBL learning model 3) to determine the magnitude of the increase Science process skills of students of Class VIII SMP 4) know the steps of learning using the PjBL learning model so that it can improve science learning outcomes and science process skills. The research instrument was validated by experts and teaching colleagues. The initial feasibility test was tested in Class VIII-2 and then tested in Class VIII-4 at SMP Negeri 5 Tebing Tinggi to collect the research data. Data were analyzed using qualitative and quantitative methods. The results of the study were 1) the application of the PjBL learning model on the subject matter of effort and energy to improve science learning outcomes and science process skills of Class VIII students of SMP Negeri 5 Tebing Tinggi 2) the great increase in science learning outcomes before action was 54.3; In cycle I, the gain-test value obtained is 0.33 in the moderate category. In the second cycle, the gain-test value obtained is 0.65 in the moderate category. This shows that there is an increase in learning outcomes from cycle I to cycle II 3) cycle I the average value of science process skills is 85.6 with good categories and cycle II the average value of science process skills is 88.7 with very good categories . This shows that there is an increase in science process skills from cycle I to cycle II 4) the steps of the PjBL learning model consisting of: essential questions, planning, scheduling, monitoring, assessment, and evaluation. Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) mengetahui ada tidaknya peningkatan hasil belajar IPA dan keterampilan proses sains peserta didik Kelas VIII SMP dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran PjBL 2) mengetahui besar peningkatan hasil belajar IPA peserta didik Kelas VIII SMP dengan model pembelajaran PjBL 3) mengetahui besar peningkatan keterampilan proses sains peserta didik KELAS VIII SMP 4) mengetahui langkah-langkah pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran PjBL sehingga dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA dan keterampilan proses sains. Instrumen penelitian divalidasi oleh ahli dan rekan mengajar. Soal diujicoba kelayakan awal ke Kelas VIII-2 kemudian diujikan ke Kelas VIII-4 di SMP Negeri 5 Tebing Tinggi untuk diambil data penelitiannya. Data dianalisis dengan metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian adalah 1) penerapan model pembelajaran PjBL pada materi pokok usaha dan energi dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA dan keterampilan proses sains siswa Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Tebing Tinggi 2) besar peningkatan hasil belajar IPA rata-rata sebelum tidakan sebesar 54,3; Siklus I nilai gain-test yang didapatkan sebesar 0,33 dengan kategori sedang Pada siklus II nilai gain-test yang didapatkan sebesar 0,65 dengan kategori sedang. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar dari siklus I ke siklus II 3) siklus I nilai rata-rata keterampilan proses sains sebesar 85,6 dengan kategori baik dan siklus II nilai rata-rata keterampilan proses sains sebesar 88,7 dengan kategori sangat baik. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan keterampilan proses sains dari siklus I ke siklus II 4) langkah-langkah model pembelajaran PjBL yang terdiri dari: pertanyaan essensial, perencanaan, menyusun jadwal, pengawasan, penilaian, dan evaluasi.Kata Kunci : model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL), hasil belajar IPA, keterampilan proses sains.Downloads
