PENGARUH MODEL PROBLEM BASED LEARNING TERHADAP CIVIC SKILLS SISWA KELAS V MIN 3 TAPANULI SELATAN

Abstract : Effects of the Problem Based Learning Model on Civic Skills forStudents of Class V MIN 3 South Tapanuli.. Based on preliminary observationsabout PPKn learning in 5th class of MIN 3 Tapanuli Selatan, it was found that theteacher used Direct Instruction, they did not give attention to studentsŸ civic skills,and even found that 11 of 17 students (64.71%) had low civic skills. Therefore, thisstudy aims to analyze the effect of Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on students'civic skills. The sampling technique used in this study is total sampling, becausepopulation and sample are the same amount, namely as many as 17 students at 5thgrade on MIN 3 Tapanuli Selatan. This research is a Quasi Experiment study. Data inthis researcg was collected through the student's civic observation sheet, while thedata analysis technique used was the Paired Samples T-Test. The results showed that:there was an effect of Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on students' Civic skills.Another finding from the results of this study is that the Problem Based Learning(PBL) model also influences other dimensions of citizenship such as civic knowledgeand civic values. Thus, this study suggests to using the Problem Based Learning(PBL) model in PPKn learning.Keywords : Civic Education (PPKn), Civic Skills, Problem Based LearningAbstrak : Pengaruh Model Problem Based Learning Terhadap Civic SkillsSiswa Kelas V MIN 3 Tapanuli Selatan. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan awalketika pembelajaran PPKn berlangsung di kelas V MIN 3 Tapanuli Selatanditemukan bahwa guru menggunakan Direct Instruction dan tidak memperhatikancivic skills dalam penilaiannya, bahkan juga ditemukan bahwa sebanyak 11 dari 17siswa (64,71%) mempunyai civic skills rendah. Oleh karena itu, penelitian inibertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem BasedLearning (PBL) terhadap civic skills siswa. Teknik sampling yang digunakan padapenelitian ini yaitu total sampling, karena jumlah populasi dan sampelnya samayaitu sebanyak 17 orang siswa kelas V di MIN 3 Tapanuli Selatan. Penelitian inimerupakan penelitian Quasi Eksperimen. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melaluilembar observasi civic skill siswa, sedangkan teknik analisis data yang digunakanyaitu uji-t (Paired Samples T-Test). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: terdapatpengaruh model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap Civic skillssiswa. Temuan lain dari hasil penelitian ini bahwa model pembelajaran ProblemBased Learning (PBL) juga mempengaruhi dimensi kewarganegaraan lainnyaseperti civic knowledge dan civic values. Dengan demikian, penelitian inimenyarankan agar menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning(PBL) dalam membelajarkan PPKn.Kata Kunci : PPKn, Civic Skills, Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah.Downloads
