Abstract
Peranan Musik pada Atraksi Barongsai Group Maha Vihara Maitreya Komplek Cemara Asri Medan sangat berperan penting. Hal itu di sebabkan karena musik sebagai pengiring dari tarian “ tarian yang di lakukan para penari Barongsai. Musik lah yang menjadi patokan dalam pergerakan dari Atraksi Barongsai. Selain itu, dalam Atraksi Barongsai Musik juga berfungsi sebagai penghusir Roh-roh gaib. Penelitian ini di maksudkan agar mengetahui bagaimana fungsi dan peranan musik pada atraksi Barongsai yang ada di Vihara Maytreia kiranya penelitian ini dapat menjadi pedoman maupun acuan bagi para muda “ mudi yang pada zaman ini banyak meninggalkan musik yang bersifat Kebudayaan
