Abstract
Grenek Music Journal merupakan jurnal yang dikelola oleh Program Studi Pendidikan Musik Jurusan Sendratasik Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni Universitas Negeri Medan. Jurnal elektronik maupun cetak ini yang pada awalnya bernama Grenek E-Jurnal kini telah berganti nama menjadi Grenek Music Journal. pergantian nama jurnal ini dilakukan setelah sempat terhentinya terbitan jurnal ini akibat kendala-kendala teknis yang dialami. Grenek Music Journal kini kembali menyajikan persoalan-persoalan dan isu-isu terkini tentang musik di Indonesia terkhusus di Sumatera Utara. Grenek Music Journal membahas tentang pendidikan, penyajian, pengelolaan, penciptaan, serta pengkajian musik. Pembahasan musik yang akan disajikan dalam jurnal ini meliputi pendidikan dan pembelajaran musik, musik nusantara, musik industri dan populer, musik serius, serta musik fungsional.
