Salah satu bentuk seni tari yang terdapat pada masyarakat Mandailing adalah tari (tor-tor) yang dilakukan pada upacara adat perkawinan, salah satunya adalah Tor-tor Tepak. Tor-tor Tepak dilakukan pada saat upacara perkawinan Horja Godang Haroan Boru (datangnya pengantin/Horja Godang untuk Perkawinan). Tor-tor Tepak adalah jenis tari persembahan atau tari pembuka untuk sidang adat pada masyarakat Mandailing yang dilaksanakan pada saat upacara perkawinan Horja Godang Haroan Boru, yang dilaksanakan selama tiga hari tiga malam, atau tujuh hari tujuh malam pada zaman dahulu dan diwajibkan untuk menyembelih kerbau atau lembu, namun karena perkembangan zaman dan faktor lainnya, sekarang Horja Godang Haroan Boru lebih sering dilaksanakan selama paling lama tiga hari tiga malam.
