Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang pengembangan pembuatan papan partikel komposit yang bertujuan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan kayu yang semakin meningkat. Bahan baku papan komposit yang berlignoselulosa (misalnya Serbuk tempurung Kelapa).  Pada penelitian ini telah dievaluasi sifat fisis dari bahan tersebut diantaranya uji fisis yang dilakukan meliputi: Kerapatan, Kadar Air dan Pengembangan Tebal  dengan perlakuan komposisi polipropilen dan serbuk tempurung kelapa bervariasi yaitu:  30 : 70, 40 : 60, 50 : 50, 60 : 40, 70 : 30 dengan menggunakan standar SNI 03 “ 2105 “ 2006. Dari hasil penelitian ditunjukkan bahwa nilai sifat fisis papan partikel komposit Polipropilena dan serbuk tempurung kelapa yang dihasilkan memenuhi standar SNI 03 “ 2105 “ 2006
