HUBUNGAN PERTAMBAHAN BERAT BADAN IBU SELAMA HAMIL DENGAN BERAT BADAN BAYI BARU LAHIR DI KLINIK DANDY MABAR KECAMATAN MEDAN DELI TAHUN 2012-2013

Pertambahan berat badan ibu selama hamil sangat penting diperhatikan, sebab jika pertambahan berat badan tidak mencukupi dapat menghambat pertumbuhan bayi. Hasil survei awal di Klinik Dandy terdapat 124 ibu bersalin pada priode 2012-2013, sebanyak 16 ibu melahirkan bayi dengan berat lahir <2500 gram, 97 ibu dengan berat bayi lahir >2500-4000 gram dan 11 ibu bersalin dengan beratlahir >4000 gram. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan pertambahan berat badan ibu selama hamil dengan berat badan bayi baru lahir. Penelitian bersifat analitik dengan desain cross sectional retrospektif. Populasi penelitian adalah semua ibu yang memeriksakan diri dan melahirkan di Klinik Dandy tahun 2012-2013 berjumlah 124 orang dan jumlah sampel 124 orang (total sampling). Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder. Pengolahan data dengan cara statistik analisa univariat dan bivariat (uji chi-square). Hasil penelitian menunjukan ada hubungan pertambahan berat badan ibu selama hamil dengan berat badan bayi baru lahir dan nilai p=0,005 (<0,05). Disarankan kepada petugas kesehatan Klinik Dandy agar memberikan konsling kepada ibu hamil yang memeriksakan diri dan memantau pertambahan berat badan ibu selama hamil.
