Analisis Substrat dan Indeks Keanekaragaman Makrozoobentos di Aliran Sungai Babura Kota Medan

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik substrat dasar dan indeks keanekaragaman makrozoobentos di aliran sungai Babura kota Medan. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah teknik sampling karena data diperoleh dari hasil pengamatan langsung. Penelitian ini dilakukan bulan Januari 2016, dengan pengambilan sampel pada lima stasiun. Sampel makrozoobentos diambil dengan menggunakan Eckman grab sebanyak lima kali. Makrozoobentos yang ditemukan sebanyak 8 genus yaitu: Pleurocera sp, Anentome sp, Thiara sp, Brotia sp, Melanoides sp, Baetis sp, Haemopis sp, dan Tubifex sp. Indeks keanekaragaman (H™) di sungai Babura tergolong rendah. Hal ini disebabkan oleh tingginya pencemaran yang terjadi di daerah aliran sungai Babura. Karakteristik substrat perairan sungai Babura berupa liat berdebu, lempung berdebu dan lempung berpasir. Dari hasil penelitian didapat bahwa pada stasiun I memiliki keanekaragaman makrozoobentos lebih tinggi dibandingkan stasiun lainnya Kata kunci: Substrat, indeks keanekaragaman, makrozoobentos, Sungai Babura.Downloads
